Test Engineer - Wave Energy

Role
We are looking for an ambitious person with knowledge and experience in mechanical or/and electrical testing to lead test activities of our full scale wave energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Primary owner of all testing of our full scale Wave Energy Converters (WEC)
- Develop test environments (such as test rig or lab test-bench) and test cases to verify the product requirements for all mechanical and electrical systems (functionalities, velocity, loses, efficiency, etc.)
- Gather product requirements for the tested unit (technical and safety)
- Testing – from sub-system tests at suppliers to dry testing of complete systems in our machine hall.
- Analyse test results, detect issues, track root cause and solutions
- Document, correct and improve our methods of assembly and testing.
- Run tests on various components and features in order to identify and fix technical issues.
- Run quality control (FAT) on signal components and final products
- Perform all tasks according to safety regulations, in a correct and accurate manner with the aim of always getting it right the first time
- Prioritize, delegate and supervise test plan activities and deliverables
- Support pilot installations in the field
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 7-10 years of practical experience from testing of advanced mechanical or electrical products.
- Experience of leading projects towards challenging goals.
- Experience from electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical assembly is advantageous.
- Ability to document and continuously improve specific assembly procedures.
- Computer skills (for test reports, reading control data and drawings).
- Knowledge of application regulations and safety instructions
- Good English skills, spoken and written.
- Swedish language skills would be preferred, but not essential.
