The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting the development of our wave energy converter. We utilize a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach, and this role is critical to ensure the quality of our complex products, both individual wave energy converters (WEC) and full-scale WEC farms. In this transversal role, you will work closely with other Systems Engineers, Product Owners, and Module Owners on requirement management, verification and validation (V&V), risk and interface management, design modification support, and on the path to commercial certification.
Responsibilities
Verification & Validation: Design and oversee rigorous testing protocols to validate system requirements, ensuring that individual WECs and full-scale arrays perform as predicted by our models and satisfy all stakeholder needs.
Interface Control: Lead the definition and management of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure seamless technical integration between mechanical, electrical, and software sub-systems.
Requirements Management: Maintain the integrity and quality of our requirements throughout the lifecycle, ensuring full traceability and relevance within our requirement management system.
Certification & Compliance: Contribute to the product certification process, for example grid compliance and third-party verification, ensuring our technology meets all regulatory and industry standards.
Possible responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of our digital twin model, especially ensuring that the test protocol results are transferred into our numerical tools.
Skills and qualifications
BSc or MSc in relevant disciplines such as Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Proven experience as a System Engineer, ideally within complex hardware and software integration projects, and in the industry.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in requirement management tools is favorable, for example DOORS, Jira, or ReqSuite.
Experience with and interest in complex machines is qualifying.

About CorPower Ocean
CorPower Ocean is a global leader in Wave Energy technology. The ocean forms one of the largest yet least explored renewable energy sources on earth. We bring a new class of high efficiency Wave Energy Converters (WECs) enabling robust and cost-effective harvesting of electricity from ocean waves. The design principle is inspired by the pumping principles of the human heart and offers five times more energy per ton of device compared to previously known technologies, allowing a large amount of energy to be harvested using a small and low-cost device. A unique transparent protection mode brings survivability in the toughest storm conditions. We are headquartered in Sweden with offices in Portugal, Scotland and Norway.
